What Does Alkaline Really Mean?

Water is a wonderful way to clear out your excess toxins, and experts recommend drinking half your body weight in ounces throughout the day to keep your body system regulated. For example, if you were to weigh 150 pounds, you would want to drink 75 ounces at a minimum. For that extra alkaline boost, consider adding a pinch of lemon.
2. Dump the Tea for Coffee
Green tea is known to have high alkaline levels and even caffeine to help you feel naturally energized throughout the day.
3. Eat Lots of Greens
Any leafy green, no matter which one you prefer, will have high alkaline levels and high amounts of chlorophyll. Whether it’s a leafy salad or a fresh green smoothie, load up on as many leafy greens to keep your body running smoothly.
4. Use Natural Sweeteners
Sugar is known to be one of the most acidic types of food, and sadly, it pops up in just about anything we tend to eat. Instead of adding sugar to your coffee, consider a natural alternative such as coconut oil, honey or even stevia.
